Coach Smith 400 Wins Ceremony
Madison High School's recently retired Head Boys Basketball Coach, Jeff Smith, who was on the Mohawk sidelines for 23 seasons, will be honored by the Ohio Basketball Coaches Association for attaining 400 wins as a Head Boys Basketball Coach.
The ceremony will be Saturday morning at UD Arena at the Division IV State Semi-Final between Berlin Highland and Richmond Heights at 10:45 a.m.
Coach Smith won his 400th game near the end of the 2019-20 season and finished with 406 wins. Due to Covid 19 regulations over the last two seasons, the ceremony is just now able to take place.
During his tenure, Coach Smith led the Mohawks to 5 SWBL Championships, numerous coaching honors, and his 2010 team went 24-0 before losing Cincinnati Taft in the regional round.
