Introducing our New Treasurer
Madison Local Schools is happy to welcome Chad Hill to our finance department. Mr. Hill recently stepped into the position of Treasurer on March 11, 2020. This is Mr. Hill’s 27th year in education; he has served as a teacher, principal, assistant curriculum director, project manager, and treasurer.
“I’m still working through understanding the ins and outs of the office functions, but with great staff members like Georgia Flannery, the Treasurer’s Assistant, and Barb Sturgis, the Treasurer’s Clerk, the transition into my new position as Interim Treasurer has been much easier,” states Mr. Hill. “Superintendent Lisa Tuttle-Huff and the Director of Human Resources Chris Cooper have also been invaluable in bringing me up to speed as quickly as possible to keep things moving forward. COVID-19 can make taking on new positions and responsibilities difficult, but with the incredible support I’ve had, this has been a great transition.”
Mr. Hill is contracted through the Shared Resource Center, which provides specialized business services to school districts in Ohio. The Shared Resource Center has worked with over 20 districts in Ohio, offering services such as payroll, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, attendance, residency checks, and more. In addition to serving as a treasurer, Mr. Hill uses his other skills when needed -- at one district, he helped start a fire/science program so that students can graduate with their EMT or firefighter’s license. “In my downtime, I like to be outside. I backpack, bicycle, hike, and attend a lot of events for my children and step-children,” says Mr. Hill. “As I say this out loud, I’m thinking, I don’t even have any downtime!” he laughs.
Welcome to the Madison Local Schools team, Mr. Hill!
