Key Club cleans up Job Threads

Madison’s Key Club is making a large impact in the local community! The club encourages high school members to perform acts of service in their communities while learning leadership skills, planning projects, and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district, and international levels.

Madison’s chapter has approximately twelve students involved. The club has contributed their assistance to multiple projects in the last year, the most recent being helping to clean up the new space for Job Threads in downtown Middletown. Job Threads is an organization that will be providing free professional clothing to people in need for job interviews.

Other projects the club has worked on includes:

  • MHS Ground Cleanup

  • Sponsoring a family for Christmas in cooperation with NHS

  • Made 20 fleece-tie blankets that were distributed to Madison students through the Butler County Student Services liaison

  • Made Christmas cards for nursing home residents

  • Collected over 300 items during their hygiene drive for Hope House resident intake boxes

The club plans to:

  • Continue working at Job Threads and organize formal wear for upcoming proms

  • Create QR code ID’s for class composite pictures

  • Make spring cards and goodie baskets for assisted living residents
