Student Wellness and Success and Disadvantaged Pupil Impact Aid Spending Plan
The district will use the funds to support the following goals:
Increase overall student performance assessment scores by 10%.
Increase student engagement by 25%.
Support will be through the following activities:
Use of strategies to improve students’ social skills which might impair their learning process.
Counseling and school-based mental health programs
Specialized instructional support services
Mentoring services
Adult and student advisory to help with suicide prevention.
Adapt for Life
Signs of Suicide
Mental health support for students focusing on things such as conflict resolution, crisis intervention, coping skills, working through anxiety triggers, academic support, self-esteem building, etc.
Suicide prevention lessons in Health class
SEL lessons on topics such as substance abuse prevention, mental health, coping skills, bullying and conflict resolution, body image and self-esteem, social media safety, and stress management.
Presenting Start with Hello program in middle school meetings and providing continued SEL support as needed.
Training on Sources of Strength to utilize with students.
Crisis interventions as needed including suicide risk assessments and referring out for additional support.
Connecting families to mental health resources outside of school such as various therapy agencies
Wellness activities for staff to prevent burnout.
Training on Trauma informed care
Training on suicide prevention utilizing the QPR Program
