Madison Local Schools is excited to participate in a new program through Children’s Hunger Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. The new program initiatives will provide additional food access for students in Ohio.

MLS is now able to serve elementary students on weekends through “Fill the Gap Meal Packs,” a weekend and holiday meal program that offers meal packs to families who qualify for free and reduced lunches. These meals are intended to complement meal services currently provided by school districts. The weekend meal packs include two pre-packaged breakfast and lunch meals, and the holiday meal packs include two meals per day for the number of days students are out of school on break.

We will release more information on the programs and how to participate as available to us.
