Madison High School’s Parker Hamrick was awarded “Best Young Man” at the Kingswell Impact Gala & Awards for 2020. The Kingswell Impact Awards recognize and acknowledge exemplary achievement efforts of people or projects that provide positive impact and demonstration of excellence throughout our city. The gala itself raised money for Kingswell Seminary, which aims to nurture and cultivate missional leaders and community by training leaders through learning communities, then offering those leaders the opportunity to experiment by cultivating missional communities in whatever way speaks to them.

Parker is only a freshman at Madison High, but he has already proven to be a dedicated member of this community. At school, he is an active member of choir, band, and theater -- a triple threat! In his limited freetime, he serves the community in a variety of ways, including feeding the homeless, playing with kids, picking up trash, and more. He has also been known to give his shoes away right off his feet!

Parker is a youth volunteer for the community parades, Movies in the Park, Kingswell’s Ladies Night Out as a server, and his favorite events, Community Thanksgiving and Community Christmas Adopt-A-Child.

Congratulations on your award, Parker -- we are honored that you not only represent Madison so well, but devotedly serve your community.

Copied!
