Elementary School updates

Posted on: September 11, 2020

Welcome back, everyone! We are excited about the new school year and we’re looking forward to another opportunity to participate in your child’s education. Although this year has started a little differently than previous years, we are excited to be back at school. It’s hard to believe the last time we were together was March 12! A lot has changed, but our dedication to your student’s education remains the same.

Check out what we’ve been doing to prepare for the 2020-2021 school year:

  • To celebrate Remembrance Day, 9/11, we began the day with a remembrance announcement and interviews with our staff. Students wore red, white, and blue, or camouflage to remember those that were impacted on September 11, 2001.

  • As a district, we have moved away from the MAP assessment and integrated a new assessment called Edify.

  • Teachers recognize one student from their classrooms each month for their “Positive Attitude” to be the Star Student of the Month.

  • We currently have 635 students attending in-person, with 65 students continuing with remote learning; this puts the average class size K-5 at 22 students. This includes 56 new students to the district.

If you’re looking to get involved in any way, please contact our PTO/TRIBE leader, Karla Fairchild, at mythreeboys777@gmail.com

Thank you for your ongoing patience and support!
