Smart Start 2022

Dear Parent/Guardian of Madison High School Students,

   Hope you are enjoying your summer!  The purpose of this letter is to share with you some important information about the upcoming school year and invite you to our Smart Start on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.  Each grade level has a specific time to come in.

Smart Start Schedule

Tuesday, August 16, 2022

9:00 am–10:00 am Seniors

10:00 am–11:00 am Juniors

11:00 am–12:00 pm Staff Break

12:00 pm–1:00 pm Sophomores

1:00 pm–1:30 pm Freshmen Orientation (Auditorium)

1:30 pm–2:30 pm Freshmen

From 1:00 pm until 1:30 pm, there will be an Orientation meeting for Freshmen students and their parents in the auditorium.

It is mandatory that each student come in and pick up their schedules during the allotted time. Schedules will be available for pick up in each Connect class – those classes will be posted on the main doors, in the Commons and on ProgressBook.

In addition to picking up schedules, students will be able to meet their teachers, find their lockers, tour the building, and pick up transportation/cafeteria/athletic information, pay outstanding fees, and drop off medications to the Nurse. Medication forms (prescription and non-prescription) can be picked up in the Clinic. 

Students will also be able to pick up their Chromebook (if all forms in FinalForms are completed, including the One to One Chromebook Policy signed by both parent/guardian and student, Chromebook Insurance, and outstanding Chromebook balances have been paid).  All fees can be paid ahead of time through PaySchools Central.

Our goal for the day is to give parents and students the opportunity to meet with teachers and learn about the courses that students will be taking as well as acquaint parents and students with the facility and some school procedures.  Please make sure this date is on your calendar so that you can help us ensure a smooth start to the school year.  We look forward to seeing you at Smart Start on Tuesday, August 16!

The school year officially starts with students’ first day on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
