Student Council

Hannah Murphy- Advisor

The Madison Junior-Senior High School Student Council is responsible for student government and acts as a service group to the school. The council's contribution of responsibilities and duties will lead to the betterment of all the students. The members are elected their peers in the spring by classes. Students Involved: 6 class officers per grade (president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and two representatives) 24 students involved total.  To be eligible, a student must have at least a 3.0 GPA and maintain this average throughout the school year.

Projects include:   

  • Homecoming Week
  • Powder Puff Game
  • White Christmas
  • "Red Out"
  • Adopt-a –Highway program
  • Assistants at Open House
  • Various Community Service Projects: Pennies for Patients, Relay for Life, Hope House etc.
  • Class Meetings/Functions
  • Staff/Teacher Appreciation Week Activities/Gifts
  • Student Council Workdays: picking up litter, landscaping, painting
